Norton Middle School is fortunate to have access to Naviance, a career planning tool that helps students realize their strengths, goals, and interests as they consider a career.  Students can access Naviance each year to review/update goals and consider the path to reach those goals.  With this ongoing effort, students are more likely to successfully accomplish their goals throughout middle/high school and on into the post-high school year.

During middle school, students will access Naviance to accomplish the following:

7th grade: review previous goals and create one yearly goal in each of the areas of personal/social, academic and career; complete a Career Key; and review and reflect on Road Trip Nation videos.

8th grade: review previous goals and create one yearly goal in each of the areas of personal/social, academic and career; complete a Game Plan Survey; complete a Strengths Explorer; and review and reflect on Road Trip Nation videos.

Students and parents can also access Naviance on their own at:

Naviance is a great tool that leads to greater success in students reaching career related goals. Please use it! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 614-801-3721 orcrw0127@swcsd.us.
