Tutoring Information

We are pleased to be able to offer free tutoring at Norton Middle School. Tutoring is held on Tuesdays both before and after school. Morning sessions are from  7:45-8:45am (arriving no later than 8:15), and afternoon sessions are from 4-5pm. 

This is a great way for students to get the extra help they may need! In an effort to make sure this time is being used effectively, we would like parents and students to be aware of the expectations for students attending tutoring. 

Please read through the expectations below. Contracts are available in the main office and must be signed by parents and students before students can attend tutoring sessions. Once the contract is returned, students can attend tutoring whenever it is offered. 

Expectations: 

• Students arrive at tutoring (morning - cafeteria/afternoon - room 1310 or 2110 on time.)

• Students come with specific assignments or topics to be worked on, with their Chromebook and their charger (chargers will not be provided.)

• Students are using the time to complete school work and ask questions.

• Students are not causing a disruption to other students trying to complete their work.

• Students have a ride available to pick them up no later than 5:00 or are able to walk home.

Should students fail to meet these expectations, the consequences will be as follows:

• Warning

• Contact with parent/guardian

• Student will not be able to attend tutoring for the remainder of the quarter
